2030 Federal bank holidays and direct deposits

Federal Reserve service schedules can change ACH processing windows. A holiday does not guarantee that every paycheck will be late because employers and banks may adjust their timing.

How a holiday can affect payday

ACH files move on banking schedules. If a scheduled settlement date falls around a closure, a payer may submit payroll earlier or the deposit may become available on the next processing day. Early-pay features remain dependent on when the bank receives the payer's instruction.

What to do

  1. Check your employer's announced payday.
  2. Check your bank's official status and account alerts.
  3. If the scheduled date passed, ask payroll whether the file was sent and request its trace number.
