Different rule: If you received Social Security before May 1997 or receive both Social Security and SSI, Social Security is generally scheduled on the 3rd, with weekend and federal-holiday adjustments.

Which birthday should I use?

SSA bases the schedule on the birthday of the worker whose earnings record the benefit is paid under. That may not always be the birthday of the person receiving the payment.

Is SSDI paid on the same schedule?

Social Security Disability Insurance generally follows the same Social Security payment groups shown above. SSI is a different program with a different schedule.

If the payment is missing

First confirm the date using your official SSA account or automated phone service. A bank's optional early-deposit day is not the official due date. Never give this website your Social Security number or claim details.
