2026 SSI payment schedule

SSI is normally scheduled for the first day of the month. When that date falls on a weekend or federal holiday, the official payment date moves to the preceding business day.

Why does SSI sometimes appear twice in one month?

It can happen when the next month's first day is a weekend or federal holiday. The second deposit belongs to the next month—it is not a bonus or extra SSI payment. For example, the November 2026 SSI payment is scheduled for October 30.

Does early direct deposit change the official date?

No. Some banks may make an eligible federal deposit available earlier after receiving payment information, but that is the bank's policy and is not guaranteed. The table shows the official scheduled date.

If SSI has not arrived

Check your official SSA payment schedule and your bank account first. Do not post your SSN, benefit amount, claim information or bank details in a public report.
